Rigid Foam Board Insulation

Foam Board Insulation refers to the installing of rigid foam boards in different parts of the house with the purpose if insulating by reducing the heat conduction through the building's structural elements like pillars, foundations and walls. Virtually all parts of a house can be insulated using foam board insulation, from the foundation to the roof. They provide good thermal resistance and often add structural strength to your home. Foam board insulation sheathing reduces heat conduction through structural elements, like wood and steel studs.

Rigid board insulation is commonly made from fiberglass, polystyrene, or polyurethane and comes in a variety of thicknesses with a high insulating value. This type of insulation is used for reproofing work on flat roofs, on basement walls and as perimeter insulation at concrete slab edges, and in cathedral ceilings.
